Realme is running really fast to match customer needs and requirements and to provide something new with each phone they launch. Realme 2 pro has a normal notch design and Realme 2 Pro featured a dewdrop/waterdrop notch and looked amazing in the design. You can read the review of Realme 2 Pro here and you can check it here on Flipkart.

In terms of design, Realme 3 would look to follow Realme 2 Pro with a waterdrop notch and a polycarbonate back and Realme 3 Pro will be seen with the waterdrop notch but a glass back to add to its beauty. Both of the smartphones are expected to feature a 6.3-inch display with Realme 3 with a Full HD display and the 3 Pro going with the Full HD+ Resolution. Both the display will be sharp and perfect brightness with Realme 3 Pro will have better PPI(Pixels per inch).

On the processor side, there is the very high stake that the Realme 3 will feature the recently launched MediaTek Helio P70 which is an Octa-Core Processor and comes with improved architecture, AI capabilities mostly in the camera, power management and video encoding. In gaming, the Helio P70 offers a 7-10 percent boost in performance compared to the Helio P60 and up to 35 percent improvement in the power efficiency. Helio P70 can support a dual camera up to 24 MP + 16MP and a single camera of 32 MP. The Image Signal Processor (ISP) is also 30 percent more efficient.

On the other hand, the Realme 3 Pro will surely be more powerful and would be featuring the Snapdragon 710, which is also expected to be seen in the Mi A3, the Android One series of Xiaomi. Snapdragon 710 scores an amazing 1,73,000 on the AnTuTu making it one of the best mid-range processor and beats the Snapdragon 636 and Snapdragon 660 by a huge margin.

Let us look at the brief specification of Realme 3 and Realme 3 Pro before proceeding to the further information of launch date and pricing.

Realme 3 Specifications

Realme 3 Pro Specifications

Realme 3 Camera and Other Details

Realme 3 will feature an improved camera over the Realme 2 and it is expected that the rear dual camera will have 16 MP and 5MP sensor with the front camera being 16MP sensor. The camera images will improve in quality given to the AI capabilities of the Helio P70.

It will have a dual sim slot and a separate slot for microSD for expanding the storage. We expect the battery to be reduced from 4230 mAh to a decently well 3500 to 4000 mAh, this would help reduce the weight and cost of the smartphone. But this change in the battery will affect the usage as the processor is much more efficient.

Realme 3 Pro Camera, Processor and other expectations

Realme 3 Pro is also expected to outdo the Realme 2 Pro is a lot of aspects. On the camera, we expect a 20 MP and 8 MP dual sensor with a huge improvement seen in the AI and camera features. On the front camera, we expect a single 20MP sensor. Needless to say, the camera will have huge advancements and will very use the AI enhancements and the huge processing power of the camera. Snapdragon 710 supports 4K HDR video playback and up to QHD+ display resolution. We expect slow motion, AR stickers features to hit the Realme 3 Pro.

On the gaming side, SD 710 has the best midrange GPU featuring Adreno 616. On comparing with the Snapdragon 660 (as in Realme  2 Pro), the Snapdragon 710 has 35% faster graphics rendering capability and 40% reduction in the power usage. Around 15% improvement in the app launch time and 25% faster browsing. Overall, if Realme 3 Pro features this, then it would be big thumbs up from the users.

Along with these major updates in the camera and the processor, we expect the Realme 3 Pro to shun the micro USB and come with a TypeC port. This also allows them to add support for fast charging in the smartphone. Realme 3 Pro could also see a small dip in the battery rating to 4000 mAh from the 4230 mAh seen on the Realme 2 Pro. The battery backup will not be affected as the Snapdragon 710 is much more power efficient than the Snapdragon 660.

On the UI, Realme has relied on the Oppo colour OS which the industry is not a huge fan off, so we expect Realme to upgrade the User interface from the Color OS and launch with fresh and improved features when they come out with the Realme 3 Pro next year.

We do not expect the Realme 3 or the Realme 3 Pro to feature any IP rating but yes the smartphones from Realme withing the next year could see IP67 or IP68 protection. It could come as soon as the Realme 4 Pro or a completely new series featuring the flagship SD845 and IP67/IP68.

There are some rumours going on about Realme 3 and 3 Pro 5G support. We think 5G is still far away for budget smartphones and Realme 3 and 3 Pro won't support 5G.

VOOC Charging - Realme 3 Pro

Realme next phone could also feature the Oppo proprietary VOOC charging as was notified by the tweet from CEO of Realme, Mr Madhav Seth. Realme 3 and Realme 3 Pro are going to be the next phone but since the Realme 3 belongs to the budget range, the Realme 3 Pro is highly expected to feature it and Realme might be testing the same for it.

What is VOOC Charging?

It is a Flash charging system which is able to charge 0 to about 75 percent in only half an hour. Compared to the normal charging, VOOC Charging operates at higher current with a usual rating of 5 V and 4A while the Qualcomm QuickCharge Technology works by increasing the voltage.

Recent Oppo F9 and F9 Pro also feature the VOOC Charging.

Realme 3 and Realme 3 Pro Launch Date in India

Realme 3 and Realme 3 Pro both are expected to be Flipkart exclusive as the Realme phones have seen a better response than the Realme 1 that was Amazon exclusive. This could also be attributed to a very positive user response received from the Realme 1.
