Moto X4 vs Mi A1 Comparison of Dual camera phones

Moto X4 is the latest midrange phone from Motorola priced at 20999 and 22999 for 32GB and 64 variant respectively. Mi A1 was launched recently by Xiaomi in India as it's first Android One device. You can take portrait mode pictures with depth effect from the rear camera. The dual rear camera has a telephoto lens so you can 2X zoom into pictures without losing image quality. This type of dual camera setup is usually seen on high-end phones like the iPhone 7 Plus.

Design and Display Comparison of Moto X4 vs Mi A1

Design wise both phones look excellent. The Moto X4 is all shiny because of the reflective glass back. If you like small phones then go for Moto X4 as it is smaller in size because of the 5.2-inch display. Mi A1, on the other hand, looks just like iPhone 7 Plus. Yes, they have copied the design but it is a budget device and looks great so we don't have any complaints.

Camera Comparison

Both phones have dual camera setup on the back and can take sharp images in daylight. Image quality is good in both cases but Moto X4 is little slow in taking pictures. The Mi A1 is slightly better because of its telephoto lens. Also, the portrait mode shots from Mi A1 look a lot better.

In front camera, Moto X4 is better because of higher resolution sensor and front flash. So if you click pictures from the back camera then go for Mi A1 and if you take pictures from the front camera then Moto X4 should be your choice.

Software Comparison

Both phones are running on Android 7.1 stock android and both will get upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo soon.

Processor/Chipset Comparison

Mi A1 has a Snapdragon 625 chipset and Moto X4 has a Snapdragon 630 chipset. So Moto X4 has a slightly better chipset. Both chipsets are very efficient and have decent power to handle games and multitasking with ease.

Moto X4 is IP68 rated which means it is water and dust resistant. Mi A1, on the other hand, does not have an IP rating so it's best to keep it away from water.
