Redmi 5 comes with Snapdragon 450 with Antutu Benchmark score of 55000 compared to Snapdragon 430 seen on Tenor E scoring around 40000 on Antutu. The performance is one of the fields Redmi 5 takes it better than the budget range phones.

The camera performance of both the phones is similar and struggle a bit with the low lighting images. The other specifications and performance in different departments of both the phones are equivalent. The battery life, though is better on Tenor E which can even touch a 2 day backup with normal usage. Tenor E battery is rated at 4000mAH while Redmi 5 battery is rated at 3300mAH.

Redmi 5 has better looks with a bezel-less display and some improvements in performance, while camera and gaming performance is similar in both the budget smartphones.
