Honor 8 Pro is the latest phone from Honor in budget flagship range. It has an elegant and sleek look and blue colour looks simply gorgeous. On the front, we have a large 5.7 inch Quad HD display which looks great because of its vibrant colours. Above the display, we have a 8MP front camera which works well. On the back, we have a 12MP dual camera setup. One camera is normal and the other one is monochrome. Together they add depth effect to the photos. Overall the camera works well in both daylight and low light conditions. Inside we have a Kirin 960 Octa core chipset with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Kirin 960 chipset is similar to Snapdragon 820 in performance though it is not that power efficient. Overall the chipset plus plenty of RAM is able to handle multitasking easily with no lag. Even though 128GB is a lot of storage, still there is an option to increase it using a micro sd card but you cannot use 2 sims in that case. The battery inside is 4000mAh which is a decent capacity. Honor claims that it will last 2 days for average users and 1.4 days for heavy users which is not bad for a flagship device. Even after going with a big battery, Honor has managed to keep the device thickness at just 7mm. The device also has a fingerprint sensor which is slow as compared to other devices. Maybe Honor will fix it with a software update.
Overall Honor 8 Pro is a well-balanced budget flagship device which offers a great 2K display, dual camera setup, plenty of RAM and storage, packed into a beautiful metal casing. In this range, you have another great option which is OnePlus 5 which is slightly expensive at Rs. 32999 and has 64GB of storage. If you like the design of Honor 8 Pro and need more than 64GB of storage then Honor 8 Pro should be your choice in this range.
