Infinix has been slowly and steadily grasping up some smartphone market share with its great value for money phone. With Infinix Hot S3 raking in some good sales number and great user reviews in the budget segment smartphone, Infinix Hot 6 Pro also looks to do the same with some great features and specifications for a pricing of under 8000. Let us check the review of each aspect from design, processor, camera, software and much more in this Infinix Hot 6 Pro.
In the design and display, Infinix Hot 6 Pro has a 5.99-inch screen with HD Plus resolution. It is a bezel-less display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and the screen is super bright, with great colour reproduction. The viewing angles of the display are also great as you can watch videos easily with the smartphone at different angles. Inifnix Hot 6 Pro is built of metal, yes metal and not plastic, and feels solid in hand.
On the performance side, Hot 6 Pro does pretty well given its price tag of 8k. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 and scores around 41000 on the Antutu benchmark. The smartphone comes with a 3 GB of RAM which very well supports the functional performance of Infinix Hot 6 Pro. It can easily run through your day to day tasks of watching videos, chatting, playing low-end games with decent multitasking experience, though high-end games and heavy multitasking are a big no, and it would not be fair to expect that from a phone under 8000.
Infinix Hot 6 Pro comes with 32 GB of internal memory and a dedicated MicroSD card slot to expand the storage by up to 128 GB. So it can be used as a proper dual sim phone with expanded storage. It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, charging port and a single speaker located at the bottom. The box comes with a 5V 2A charger and a protective transparent back case and a screen protector.
Talking about the most important aspect of a smartphone nowadays, the camera. In the camera segment, Infinix Hot 6 Pro again shatters the roof. It has a dual rear camera of 13 MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Previous Infinix phones have been great camera performer and Hot 6 Pro also does a pretty good job. The images look natural in both day and artificial light conditions and the bokeh mode also works well. The rear camera also supports an HDR mode which brightens up the image. This smartphone also supports 1080 p video recording.
On the front camera, we have a 5 MP sensor with LED flash. The camera works great in the price range and also has support for software-based bokeh mode. Overall, the camera does a wonderful job and Infinix Hot 6 Pro is certainly the best camera phone under 8000.
It runs on Android Oreo 8.0 and has a custom XOS skin over the Android. The skin is smooth is usage but has some bloatware. It has a massive battery of 4000 mAh and can easily power the phone for around 1.5 days. Despite a huge battery and metal body design, the phone feels light and comfortable to hold in hand. There is no IP rating on this phone which is very well understood for a phone priced at 7999. Hot 6 Pro also supports face and fingerprint unlocking which are pretty accurate and fast. It has a single speaker but is very loud and very well enhances from the experience of watching videos or playing games.
With this Hot 6 Pro, Infinix with metal body design, great camera, face unlocking and a massive battery gives a strong competition to the likes of Redmi 5. Redmi Y2 and Honor 7C. This phone easily gets the tag of the best phone under 8000 and completely sets the tone for the next line of price point competition in the budget segment phones. The smartphone will be available for sale from 17th July and is being sold exclusively via Flipkart.
