Moto M is the first phone from Motorola with a metallic body and that is pretty much the only unique thing about it. Everything else is just average. The display is 1080p Full HD and has good viewing angles. On the back there is a 16MP camera which is neither bad nor excellent. Under the camera there is a fingerprint sensor which unlocks phone quickly. On the inside there is Mediatek Helio P15 Chipset with 3 and 4GB RAM options and 32 and 64GB storage options.
The software is stock android so it does not hang or slow down even when multiple apps are launched and used simultaneously. The battery is just an average 3050 mAh so you expect the phone to last a day but not more than that. Overall Moto M is just an average phone and we feel it is a bit overpriced.
Redmi Note 4 offers better processor, better battery at a lower price so we would suggest to go for Redmi Note 4. In case you like the brand Motorola then you should consider the G5 Plus which offers premium camera performance and will cost little more than the Moto M.

Overall
Moto M is a decent device but there is not anything interesting about it. Redmi Note 4 will offer better performance and battery backup at a lesser so we do not recommend buying Moto M. If you are looking for brand Moto then Moto G5 Plus is a better option than Moto M.
