Moto Z2 Play is a beautiful phone. It has a full metal construction with a Super AMOLED display at the front. The device is very thin, just 5.99mm thickness overall and 8.5mm if you measure with the camera bump. The obvious disadvantage of thin phones is smaller batteries which is something we do not like. But still, manufacturers are reducing thickness instead of increasing battery capacity.
On the inside, there is a Snapdragon 626 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. 4GB is of RAM will be sufficient for heavy multitasking and if 64GB storage is not enough for you then you can slip in a MicroSD to increase storage.
The camera on the back is 12MP similar to what we have seen on G5 Plus. Camera quality is good and dual focus helps to take some clear shots. There is fast charging which can charge your phone to 50% in just 20 minutes.
The USP of Z2 Play is compatibility with Moto Mods using which you can add a projector or a camera or a big speaker to your phone. Moto Mods are really cool but slightly expensive.
Moto Z2 Play is a beautiful device with not many negatives. The internal hardware is decent and you get stock Android so performance is super smooth. Go for it if you need a stylish device running on stock android with good cameras and lag free performance.

Moto Z2 Play gets almost everything right. We are saying almost because Snapdragon 626 in a 28000 does not makes sense. Other than under powered chipset there is nothing wrong with this phone. Overall it is a well balanced phone but yes it is overpriced.
