Samsung Galaxy A50 Brief Review and Pros Cons:

Samsung Galaxy A50 comes with a beautiful 6.4-inch Full HD+ super AMOLED display which is a treat to eyes. Beginning with the design we have a beautiful looking Gradient color back which looks like glass but has a plastic build. Even with that, the phone feels solid and has a good build quality. The front has an Infinity U display that is the notch and the bottom side has thin bezels and the phone overall looks great with a perfect display.

Samsung has been facing stiff competition and its latest A series and M series are here to fight back. Coming to the processor of the Samsung Galaxy A50, you get the in-house Exynos 9610 which is an extremely powerful processor. Build on the 10nm manufacturing process the Exynos 9610 has 4 performance A-73 cores clocked at 2.3 GHz.  and 4 power efficient A-53 cores clocked at 16 GHz. This processor in one word ‘delivers’ as it rivals the Snapdragon 675. Not only this is it is to be noted that the 675 is based on the 11nm process which clearly means that the 9610 is better at batter management and its efficiency.

Samsung Galaxy A50 scores a massive 1,46,355 which is a good score for a priced between 15000 to 20000. Poco F1 is one of the phones which comes with better AnTuTu in this price range. In terms of performance, you will not face any issue in multitasking or playing high graphics game.

Coming to the camera quality, Samsung already puts lots of effort and brilliance to the camera and this Galaxy A50 has three cameras on the back come in the form of a main 25MP F1.7 shooter, an 8MP F2.2 Ultra wide sensor and finally, a 5MP sensor for features like lives focus. There is also a whopping 25 MP F2.0 sensor in the front for the selfie lovers. All in all, a set of these good sensors for an under the 25K mark let alone under the 20k mark. The camera can also utilize the ultra-wide lens to shoot wide angle videos too. It can also shoot slow-mo videos at 480 frames per second compared to the 120 frames per second offered by the previous generation all thanks to its mighty processor.

Overall the camera pictures come with good quality and details. The images are sharp and crisp with good low light performance. It is one of the best camera quality in this price point and you will never be disappointed with the perfect images this A50 captures.

The software has also seen a lot of improvements as Samsung has introduced new One UI which is based on top of Android Pie and has less bloatware, cleaner and easy to use interface. Sticking to the battery front the A50 brings with itself a 4000 mAh battery and combining it to the Exynos 9610 we get a great battery life of more than a day. There is a 15W fast charger bundle in the box which is another positive point of this smartphone.

Galaxy A50 support face unlocking and an in display fingerprint sensor and both are accurate. The fingerprint takes about 0.4 to 0.5 seconds which we believe will improve with time with software upgrades. Oppo K1 is another phone under 20k that offers in display sensor.

The galaxy A50 comes in 2 variants 4GB RAM and 64GB storage for rupees 19990, and 6GB RAM and 64GB storage for rupees 22990. Based on your budget and requirements you can choose the best variant for you. It is to be noted again that both the phones come with 2 sim card slots with 4G enabled on both the sims and a dedicated memory card slot expandable up to 512GB. Though there is no official confirmation however this article from GSMArena claims that the Samsung Galaxy A50 comes with an IP68 rating so it is water and dust proof.

So, to conclude, honestly, we think that the A50 is a way better bang for the buck and is a much-improved phone setting it apart from the M series. In the A50, there is a small compromise of the plastic build otherwise the phone is a complete practical device with a great camera and processor. The fast charging and in display sensor adds to the good value for money this phone offers. Galaxy A50 which is basically the example of an ideal budget segment flagship.
