Samsung J5 is powered by Qualcomm 410 and is similar to Samsung J7 in design, with J7 having a much better processor and a bigger screen size. The phone is launched as a budget range phone and comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The display in an HD display and comes with Super AMOLED screen, the viewing angles are pretty decent.
Samsung as usual never disappoints on the build quality and the camera quality. J5 also delivers well on the build quality and looks. The rear camera is a 13MP shooter and the front camera is a 5MP shooter and both come with LED flash. The camera quality is good given the price range but not the best.
The gaming performance, however, is not that perfect given the limited RAM and not so powerful processor. There were no heating issues but the phone losses frame and faces lag while playing heavier games.
The battery of J5 is 3000mAh can easily last for a day. The phone does not have fast charging and is not a surprise as no company offers this feature in this price range. The phone comes with bike mode to auto reply while you are driving the bike and ultra data saving mode that saves about 25-30 percent of data. Also, it comes with a dedicated MicroSD card for storage expandable up to 128GB.
Overall the handset feels light in weight and is comfortable working with a single hand. The smartphone comes with the Samsung brand and performs decently well. One thing the phone lies behind is the 2GB of RAM, with this RAM, it could be sometimes difficult working in multitasking mode.
The phone also lacks some of the important sensors like gyroscope(for 360-degree video view) and compass(assists in navigation).
As per the expert team at Suggest Phone, this phone is an altogether good device in this price range given you are a not a huge multitasker. But still, if you are looking for phones in this price range, Samsung J7 should be any day preferred over Samsung J5 which offers much better performance.
