Samsung Galaxy J5 prime is the next budget smartphone launched by Samsung under the J series. As usual, Samsung has been doing great in the build and design of a phone, and Samsung Galaxy J5 is the best-looking smartphone in this price range, the build quality and looks are perfect and the phone is sturdy to use. The Phone comes with a 2.5D gorilla glass protection that gives an elegant look to the smartphone.
The display is an IPS LCD which is an HD 720p screen with good viewing angles. The fingerprint sensor is much better than earlier Samsung phones and delivers good accuracy and is fast.
Regarding the camera performance of Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime, the rear camera is a 13MP shooter with Flash and the image quality has been very impressive in all indoor or outdoor lighting condition. The images are crisp and sharp and produce lively colors. The front camera of J5 prime comes with a 5MP shooter and is not the best in the price range and the captured images are a bit overexposed.
The battery of Samsung J5 Prime is a 2400mAh battery and can easily last for more than a day with normal usage as the screen in 5inch and the processor has to push less pixel than other phones. The phone has internal memory of 32GB and also comes in a 16GB variant with 3GB of RAM, it comes with a dedicated SD card slot expandable up-to 256GB.
Samsung J5 Prime delivers very well in many of the departments but comes with a slight disappointment for heavy gamers as the phone sees some frame drops and lags in the heavy gaming at maximum graphics setting. The gaming though works fine for normal games. The phone faces no heating issues at all in any usage, something unmatchable by other competitors, which face heating issue either at the time of charging or heavy usage.
It has been with every Samsung phones, that the sensors like Gyroscope and Auto brightness sensor are missing of the sub Rs. 25000 phone and the J5 Prime is no different, so you cannot experience 360-degree videos or use VR headset with the phone.
Overall the J5 Prime is really good in build, design, looks and rear camera performance and comes with the Samsung brand, but is not recommended for heavy gaming(works smooth for normal gaming).
Also, Samsung always charges a premium for their brand but also delivers very well. Some of the other phones in the price range you can look at are
Redmi 4,
Redmi Note 4,
Lenovo P2,
Moto G5 Plus which offer better features and performance.
