Tenor 10.or G 64GB Brief Review and Pros Cons:

10.or G or as spelled Tenor G is the latest android phone launched with Android Nougat 7.1.2 upgradable to Android Oreo and is exclusively available on Amazon India.

Tenor (10.or) G comes powered with Snapdragon 626, around 10% boost over the Snapdragon 625 seen in the Redmi Note 4, a direct competitor. Tenor G comes with a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved screen and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. There is the metal body at back and plastic on top and bottom, with curved sides which allows easy gripping of the phone. The build quality is good but the looks are somewhat between decent to good.

However, the phone is super solid in the specifications and performance. Tenor (10.or) G comes with a Dual 13MP+13MP rear camera with Dual tone LED flash, one is a monochrome sensor that captures details, and the other is an RGB sensor that captures the color information. The front camera is a 16MP shooter. Both front and rear camera have a good shutter speed, with some inbuilt filters and beauty modes. Overall, in our initial reviews, the camera quality seems really appreciable at this price point. Tenor (10.or) G gives an option to use Bokeh effect to blur the background and an enhanced focus in a night shot.

10.or G comes with a massive 4000mAh battery and does not feel heavy considering the battery size. The battery for this in a normal day to day usage can easily last for 1.5 days. The fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone has a good response time. Tenor G comes with a hybrid sim slot allowing either Dual sim usage or single sim with external MicroSD card with memory expandable up to 128GB. The bottom of the phone consists of Dual Dirac stereo speakers and the charging slot.

Overall, we expect good performance in day to day usage, and with stock Android experience and latest security patches from Tenor (10.or), the phone seems to be one of the best in this price range.

Tenor G comes in two variants, 3GB + 32GB at Rs 10999 and 4GB + 64GB  at 12999. If you are looking to use it as a Dual sim phone, we would suggest buying the 64GB variant.

Redmi Note 4 vs Tenor G (10.or G)

Tenor G comes as a direct competitor to Redmi Note 4 launched in January this year. Redmi having sold more than 7 million Note 4 handset is steering forward with confidence. It looks like Tenor G looks to replicate the success achieved by Redmi Note 4, with slight improvements in some of the departments. We bring you a quick comparison between the two handsets.

  1. Tenor (10.or) G comes with Qualcomm Octa Core Snapdragon 626 which is 10% upgrade over Qualcomm 625 used in Redmi Note 4.
  2. Tenor G also comes with a Dual (13MP+13MP) rear Camera while Redmi Note 4 holds a single 13MP camera.
  3. Tenor G is also a good upgrade on the front camera with a 16MP sensor while only a 5MP sensor is available in Redmi Note 4. Tenor G also comes with some inbuilt filters and beautification modes and an enhanced focus for low lighting clicks.
  4. Redmi Note 4 has a 4100mAh battery while Tenor G comes with 4000mAH battery, expected to give equivalent battery backup.
  5. Both Note 4 and Tenor G come with a hybrid sim slot and in two similar variants of 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB. The fingerprint response on both the phones is also equivalent.
  6. In terms of looks, Redmi Note 4 to us looks slightly better.
Tenor (10.or) had also recently launched 10.or E which is also exclusively available from Amazon.
