Infinix Note 4 Brief Review and Pros Cons:

Infinix is a Hong-Kong based smartphone manufacturer and launched Infinix Note 4 in India in August 2017 as a competition to Redmi 4Moto E4 Plus and Lenovo K8 Plus. It was launched as a Flipkart exclusive phone. This is the first smartphone to be launched with a 5.7-inch screen in a sub 10k segment phones. The display has good colours, decent viewing angles and photo/video on the phone are up to the mark. It also has 2.5D glass protection over the screen.

Infinix Note 4 is powered by Octa-Core 1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6753 chipset, which is not the not the best or most powerful chipset in this price range. Snapdragon 435 as seen in Redmi 4 could have been a better choice.  The Antutu benchmark score of Infinix Note 4 is approx 38000 compared to Redmi 4 with Antutu Benchmark Score of 42000, so around an 8 to 10 percent difference in the performance of both the phones.

The rear camera of Infinix Note 4 is a 13MP sensor and front camera for selfies is an 8MP sensor. The photos from the camera look sharp and clear, the shutter speed is also good. The images are good in the daylight but not the best in the low light conditions. The rear camera of Infinix Note 4 has a Dual LED flash (Not the Dual-tone LED flash) which would be of some assistance in the low lighting conditions. Obviously, nothing extraordinary should be expected in this price range.

The gaming performance of Infinix Note 4 is also just up to the mark. There were minor frame drops or lag was observed while gaming, but there were no heating issues observed, which is one of the positive points in terms of heat dissipation in the phone.

Infinix Note 4 runs Android 7.0 with company's XOS UI, which comes with some bloatware pre-installed. The good thing is that, though these bloatware apps cannot be removed, but can be permanently disabled. The handset has 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of internal storage with a dedicated SD card slot to extend the memory up to 128GB. With 3GB of RAM, the phone can multitask with ease. The fingerprint sensor is on the front, which is a button and not an active sensor, the button needs to be pressed to unlock the phone.

The phone comes with a battery rated 4300mAH, which is a humungous, capable of delivering battery life of around 1.5 days. The charger is also a fast charger compared to the charger ratings of other phones in this price range.

Infinix Note 4 comes with some of the inbuilt software features, such as Double Tap (To lock or unlock the screen), One hand mode that lets you use this phone as 4.7 inches or 4.0-inch phone, screenshot with 3 fingers, wave to unlock and some other useful software features.

The phone looks decent but the body is made of plastic with the metallic finish, so the build quality is not so great and the back side is susceptible to scratches, so do use a back cover that comes with the phone or check out some handpicked back cover for this phone below.

Infinix Note 4, as in other phones in this price range, does not have any IP rating and hence is not waterproof or dustproof. Read what IP rating means here.

Overall, Infinix Note 4, given the price point of Rs 9000, with a 5.7 inch Full HD screen, decent gaming and camera performance and dedicated SD card slot looks a good buy. But there had to be some compromise as can be seen in the build quality and not the best processor to keep abreast with other features. So if you are looking for a Sub 10k phone, Infinix Note 4 and Redmi 4 are our preferred choice.  Check here the Suggest Phone complete list of Best Smartphone under 10k.

Should you buy Infinix Note 4?

Overall the phone has good features for a phone in a sub 10k segment, but the processor and build quality are not the best. A good buy for a 9k phone if you are not a high end user.
