Moto G5S is the upgraded version of Moto G5 which was released earlier this year. Things that have changed are the build quality, camera, battery, storage, RAM, and price as well.
The build quality is better now and the device feels great in hand. The display size is 5.2 inches which make single handed usage possible. The display resolution is same as Full HD 1080p. The color reproduction is good and viewing angles are fine as well. The fingerprint sensor is just below the display which supports gestures as well.
In the camera department, the Moto G5S has a 16MP sensor on the back instead of the 13MP we saw on the Moto G5. The camera quality is good and it is capable of taking nice shots in day light. The low light performance, on the other hand, is average. The front camera on the Moto G5S is the same 5MP we saw earlier but now we have a flash on the front as well which should help in low light condition selfies.
Inside the Moto G5S, we have an upgrade in storage capacity and RAM but the processor has been kept same. Moto G5S runs on Snapdragon 430 with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Storage can be increased with a MicroSD card but you cannot use 2 sims in that case as the sim slot is hybrid.
With all these upgrades, the price has also increased to Rs 13999 which is a Rs 2000 increase from the earlier Moto G5.
Overall Moto G5 is a good device but we do not like the choice of processor. Snapdragon 430 is a decent entry level chipset but at this price, users have a lot of better options. Moto G5S Plus is an excellent option with a bigger display, double storage, dual camera and better processor at just Rs 2000 extra. So go for Moto G5S Plus instead of G5S as it offers a better value for money package.

Moto G5S is a good device but feels overpriced at Rs.14000. Heavy users should avoid it as Snapdragon 430 is not that powerful to handle heavy games and multitasking. You should spend 2000 more and get Moto G5S Plus which has a bigger display, double storage, better processor and dual camera on the back.
