Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro is a fresh design from Samsung with ridges on the sides that extends on the back panel. This adds to the looks of the phone and also gives a pretty good ergonomic grip, making it comfortable holding in hand. Samsung always does a great job with the design and build quality of the phone, and Galaxy J2 Pro also follows that.
The phone has a 5-inch screen with Super AMOLED display and gives punchy vivid colors and bright screen. Also, the J2 Pro response to touch is flawless and screen transition is smooth. It packs a Spreadtrum SC8830, 1.5 GHz Quad Core Processor, with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory expandable up to 128GB.
Regarding the Camera performance, Galaxy J2 Pro comes with an 8MP rear camera shooter with a LED flash and a 5MP front shooter. Overall, the performance of the camera is pretty decent in this price range with the front camera clicking some good selfies. There is no HDR mode which is a bit of disappointment. There are few beautification modes and effects that can be applied on the picture clicked. The video recording although limited to 720p is sufficiently clear and good in terms of output.
Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro comes with a 2600mAh battery and due to small screen size and not so demanding processor, the battery can last for about a day with normal usage. Samsung always packs its J Series phone with some unique features like S-Bike Mode(to assist safe bike driving), Ultra Data saving mode and in J2 Pro, Samsung has added a new feature of Smart glow, which is a square LED ring around the back camera, it lights up in different colors based on the type of notification and looks really cool. The user can adjust the color and conditions to light up the phone with Smart Glow.
Most Importantly, the J2 Pro comes with Samsung Turbo Speed Technology that allows better RAM management and the company claims it makes loading of apps 40% faster than the phone with higher RAM.
Overall, the phone with good build quality and fresh design looks interesting, the performance of camera and gaming is again decent considering the price point. Anyone looking for a Samsung brand with a budget of 10,000 can look to buy this phone. While it has a lot of competition, some of the notable phones that can be looked at are Redmi Note 4, Motorola E4 Plus.
