Honor 9i 64GB Brief Review and Pros Cons:

Honor 9i comes with 64GB of storage and it is the first smartphone in the world to have 4 cameras. 2 in the front and 2 on the back side of the phone.

The build quality of Honor 9i 64GB is solid and it feels premium because of the metal unibody design. On the front, we have a5.9-inch full view display with Full HD+ resolution. The display is large but the size of the phone is still similar to other 5.5-inch display phones because of small bezels on the Honor 9i. The display is 18:9 or 2:1 aspect ratio which we have seen earlier in flagships. The display is sharp and vivid with good viewing angles.

Inside the Honor 9i we have a 2.3 GHz Octa-Core Kirin 659 processor.  In Antutu benchmarks the octa-core Kirin 659 scores 63800 which is similar to the score of Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 which scores around 63100 on most phones. The storage is 64GB with 4GB of RAM. Plus there is a MicroSD card slot which can be used to increase the storage by up to 256GB. The slot is hybrid so you can either use 2 sims cards or 1 sim card and a MicroSD card. The 4GB RAM is capable of handling a lot of apps. Most of the phones in this range are coming with 4GB of RAM and we like that because anything more than 4GB looks like an overkill. It is not going to be useful for most users so it will be a waste of power which means lower battery backup.

The dual camera setup on both sides is the highlight of this device. Honor 9i is the first smartphone to have both dual rear camera and dual front camera. The back camera is a 16MP + 2MP dual camera setup while the front camera is a 13MP + 2MP dual camera setup. The camera with lower resolution is a monochrome sensor and another one is an RGB sensor. The dual camera setup helps to give a depth effect to your pictures which is also known as portrait mode. In our first few tests, the camera performance of both front and back cameras looked good. Portrait shots had the object in focus with blurred background. With initial impressions, we can say that it looks like one of the best camera experience in this range. Plus, Honor 9i also supports the feature where the image background can be blurred even after clicking the image. You can select any object you want to keep in focus and blue everything else.

The Honor 9i is running on EMUI 5.1 which is a skin based on Android 7.0. EMUI is not really bloated and performs well overall. There are few useful customizations as well to increase productivity. 

The Honor 9i has a 3340 mAH battery and you can expect a day of backup on a single charge which is decent for a large screen phone.

Honor 9i in black colour looks great. It wasn't available before but it is available now. Buy Honor 9i Black from Flipkart.

Other smartphones in this price range are Mi A1 and Moto G5S Plus. According to us, Honor 9i provides a much better value for money than other phones in this price range.
