Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 has been launched in India as a successor for J7 Prime. It comes with a 5.5 Inch Full HD Display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels having 74% screen-to-body ratio compared to the bezel-less display seen nowadays with 90% screen to body ratio. Galaxy J7 Prime 2 is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor which scores around 47000 on the Antutu Benchmark. It has 3 GB of RAM and internal storage of 32 GB which can be expanded via dedicated micro SD card up to 256 GB. This model has capacitive keys compared to its predecessor Samsung J7 Prime.
On the Camera Side, it has a single 13MP sensor on the rear and 13MP on the front. Both the sensor support f/1.9 aperture and up to 1080p video recording at 30 fps. This smartphone has a feature of Social Camera which allows you to click, edit and share in a single go.
J7 Prime 2 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with features like Samsung Mall that supports visual search, universal cart etc and Samsung Pay Mini for instant payment functionality. It comes with a battery of 3300 mAH and should easily last for more than a day given the low power requirement of the processor. It has a fingerprint sensor at the back just below the camera which is accurate and fast.
Though the smartphone overall offers some practical value proposition but still looks like lagging behind the current industry trend of Bezel Less display, latest processor and Dual rear Camera.
